Core concepts
Elysium’s 100–200 ms canonical blocks, HYPE fees, and priority-fee ordering, with block times on other chains for reference.
Last updated
How Elysium produces blocks, what transactions cost, and how they are ordered. See What is Elysium for every launch parameter at a glance.
Blocks
The 100–200 ms tick is the block. Elysium produces real canonical blocks at that cadence, so latest and transaction receipts have their plain meaning. There is no preconfirmation overlay to reason about. Block time will be tuned toward the ≈100 ms Nitro block floor as the chain hardens.
Fees
Fees are paid in HYPE and are low by construction. Data availability is committee-based rather than priced per byte on-chain, so the parent-chain cost per transaction is minimal. The fee environment is tuned so that a market maker refreshing quotes 5–10 times per second can do so cheaply and sustainably.
Market data is free at the point of use once the read precompile ships. Strategies that would pay continuous oracle-update gas elsewhere read fresh HyperCore state on Elysium for ordinary call gas.
Ordering
Transactions are ordered by priority fee within each block, with no privileged lanes. The protocol does not favor quote updates over swaps or the reverse, since AMMs on Elysium will not all look alike.
